St. Jude Run: The Talk of the Sports World

Saint Jude Run 2016
The Saint Jude run is a great event. Sports lovers, kid lovers, and other lovers love St. Jude.  You've probably grown up hearing about St. Jude and how the facilities treat kids suffering from cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

My daughter is on Team Blue's Co. and this is their photo taken at the Chicago run to downtown Peoria in late July.

St. Jude Runs is one of the country's foremost charity running events. Participants raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and run relay-style from their respective cities to the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate in Peoria, IL.

St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. No family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Unlike other hospitals, the majority of funding for St. Jude comes from generous donors. That means the money raised through St. Jude Runs helps fund lifesaving research that benefits children worldwide.

About Sporting Chance Press:

Our goal at Sporting Chance Press is to provide entertaining books that can give readers a lift in sports and in life. We publish books that give readers insight into the hero within each of us. When sport is at its best, there is a payoff constantly taking shape – a payoff "at work." We are improving—whether it is building self esteem, improving health, developing strong social skills, or learning the habit of achievement. There is a discipline needed in preparing for sports contests and life contests. Getting our bodies and minds in shape for the competition is critical. If we can approach sports training and life with enthusiasm, the contest is pure joy. If we can approach sport and life with passion and not pressure, we can achieve and release that fearless hero within.
