In Cleveland, Brown won four AAFC titles and three NFL titles in 25 years as head coach. In Pillars, we describe some of Brown's key players and we'd thought we'd reproduce some of that for our posts.
Horace Gillom played 10 seasons with the Browns. Gillom was an African American who played for Brown in Massillon.
He played both offensive and defensive end, but gave the Browns a great edge over most teams with his towering punts that would travel over half the length of the field at great heights.
In 1954, his longest punt went for 80 yards.
