10 Commandments of Baseball Extoll Virtues of Common Decency

The 10 Commandments of Baseball
All our books at Sporting Chance Press convey positive values. The idea behind Sporting Chance Press is to produce books that do convey something worthwhile, something that will make the world a better place even if it is in a very small way. It helps to connect the dots from the various sports activities to the values to get the benefit.

In our book, The 10 Commandments of Baseball, the connection is very direct in that the book is about Joe McCarthy's baseball principles that can easily be applied to life. The author, J.D. Thorne, has given dozens of presentations on the baseball commandments and the fascinating people whose lives illustrate these principles.

J.D. has talked in churches, synagogues, and to  Rotary Clubs, Lions Clubs, and  March of Dimes fundraisers.  He's lectured on the baseball commandments to universities, high schools, and grade schools.. He's visited with patients and talked baseball and the commandments at hospitals and nursing homes.  He headlined meetings at alumni clubs, baseball clubs, sports venues, conventions, and other gatherings.  He has been interviewed on television, public radio, sports radio,  online publications, and newspapers.  It does not seem to matter whether his audiences are old or young, male or female, everyone is fascinated by the commandments and J.D.'s stories from major league's golden age and his own amateur days that illustrate the principles that were originally composed by baseball's greatest manager, Joe McCarthy.
