Kyle Adams Makes the Chicago Bears; Survives Final Cut

Former Purdue tight end Kyle Adams is officially a Chicago Bear as the team heads into its first game of the season September 11th against the Atlanta Falcons. Adams was an undrafted rookie free agent coming into Bears camp. The 6-5 255 lb. tight end was favored by Bears coaches for his versatility; He might be used a tight end as well as a fullback and special teams player. He is known for his intensity on the field as well as for his intelligence. Adams received the Boilermaker's “Pit Bull Award” for exemplifying “tenacity and intense play.” He was also a Big Ten Academic All-American.

More than once in interviews, Adams has displayed his philosophy as a rookie trying to make the team: “I just try to keep my head down, work hard, and let God take care of the rest.”

Adams grew up in Austin, Texas, where he played at Westlake High of Drew Brees fame. Adams parents were athletes at Purdue.
